I enjoy shopping for Asian pantry staples here. It's clean, brightly lit and most of their items are priced reasonably. They do cater to Vietnamese groceries, but I do find many of my frequently used Asian ingredients here. Service is hit or miss. They are usually friendly, but some transactions can become difficult when one of their employees don't speak English well. They also sell Asian kitchen tools/utensils and seasonal items like Lunar New Year decorations. So convenient! They also have an in-store restaurant/deli. I really love their banh mi sandwiches, vermicelli noodle salad with grilled pork and eggrolls. I make my to-go order when I walk in, and it's usually ready after I've finished my groceries. The aisles are wide and accessible. They do close promptly at 7pm weekdays (even though Google says 9pm), and don't cut it too close. Yesterday, they closed up shop after I made my purchase at 6:55pm.

This place is great to shop for your Vietnamese food and they have a good restaurant inside the market. My sister has the pho and she said it was great. Didn't have to add anything to the broth unless you wanna tweak it for your taste. I had the rice and grilled pork combination and it was very good. The service was ok nothing great but it was to be expected. I'd recommend this market for anyone looking for pho outside the Twin Cities.

Living in the U.P. Of Michigan, we don't have anything like this place. When we visit my Son and family in Farmington, this is a must goto for us. Everything we've tried here is excellent, and we've tried a lot !!! I do have to say though, that the BBQ pork Bahn Mi is probably the best damn sandwich I've ever shoved down my throat !!! I've been a foody for a long time and consider myself a "way above average home chef" but I could not recreate that sandwich if I tried!!! DO NOT leave this place without taking some of the Bahn Mi baguettes home with you . They make any sandwich taste better!!! Slammer!!!

Really great fried egg rolls 9/10. Sliced beef Pbo is above average 8/10. Broken rice and pork chop plate is above average 7/10. Service is good 8/10. Prices are good and it's clean. Walk through the Asian market after a bowl of Pho and some egg rolls and you got a nice little adventure.

Great spot for Viet goods. It's a little far from me so I don't go as often but definitely stop by annually for Tet goods (They have banh tet, banh chung and home made dua mam) and every so often for Viet fare. Overall, they have a bit of everything for Viet cooking- variety of noodles, spices, sauces, frozen food, rice, kitchenware etc. The meats and veggies/fruits section is smaller, but does have the basics and some some tropical options. There is also a restaurant in the back that I'll have to check out at some point, but it looks like your typical counter-service shop. Overall, the staff is super nice, store is generally clean and a big perk is that there is a parking lot in front. They also host a lion dance for the Lunar New Year!

1st time eating at this restaurant and I will definitely be back. All the food I have ordered for myself came out to be so delicious. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Vietnamese food... the pho broth was excellent especially with the thin layer of beef fat on-top of the pho broth makes a huge difference in the flavor profile. The papaya salad was super delicious, but I do wish they didn't drown the dish in sauce. The great thing about this restaurant is that it's located inside the grocery store, you can shop and eat delicious food all in one visit. Great times! Thank you for making memories with me!

This place was a pleasant surprise. I came in and there was a few seats open but filled up very shortly after ordering my pho. I ordered the egg rolls and pho and they were both very good! I would suggest coming if you're looking for something to treat yourself.

I've been here twice and order Mock Duck Bahn Mi sandwiches. These are pretty good here. The fresh spring rolls have 3 shrimp and redish pork lunch meat in them which is dry and nasty. Saving the other spring roll the next day to eat makes it tough and chewy. Probably won't order those again. The store has whole big shrimp for $7.99 a pound. I'll probably buy some at this price. Lots of Asian food items that I don't know what they are. This place is on the other end of Burnsville that I only get to occasionally. Maybe I'll try other noodle salads or other foods next time.

I came to Saigon Asian Food Market because I wanted to have dinner at Pho 45. It's located inside the market, on the right side when you enter the store. Once I was done with a happy tummy full of pho, I decided to check out this market. I didn't buy anything, for I had bought some stuff at an Asian grocery store in Rochester the night before. I do love checking out a grocery store that I've never been to. I feel that the name is a bit misleading. Stick with Saigon. The majority of items here scream a Vietnamese market. The Asian part is minor. There are a few Asian items, but it's primarily a Vietnamese market. When I first walked into the store, a bunch of baguettes for banh mi greeted me. My mouth watered. I loved everything about the banh me area, from the special mayo in small tubs, to the cha chien. I may need to return and get some cha chien just because I love it so much and I'm curious to try some here. The aisles are well-organized. I had to tear myself away from the snacks. It was tough. If you are a rice person, come here. There were varieties that I had never seen before. I also like that if you want to decorate your house with pretty pieces, come here. Your place will look pretty without breaking the bank! I'll need to return and get some groceries next time. It's cool in my books, especially having a restaurant in a grocery store. (454)

With its clean, brightly lit aisles and reasonable pricing, shopping here becomes a delightful experience for anyone looking to delve into the rich flavors of Asian cooking.

This market isn't just a place to pick up ingredients; it also houses a deli-style restaurant that serves up some authentic dishes. Among my favorites are the tantalizing banh mi sandwiches and the vermicelli noodle salad topped with grilled pork and crispy egg rolls. As a food reviewer, I've had my share of delicious meals, but the banh mi here is nothing short of legendary—it’s a sandwich that stands out with every savory bite!

Patrons have praised the quality of the food, with rave reviews describing the pho as exceptional. It’s noteworthy that you might not need to add anything to the broth, which is often a mark of great quality in Vietnamese cuisine. From grilled pork to various noodle dishes, there's something for everyone, including mouthwatering fried egg rolls that are sure to impress even the most seasoned food lovers.

Saigon Asian Food Market also caters to families and groups, making it a perfect destination for kids and large gatherings. There’s plenty of parking available, allowing for a hassle-free shopping experience. The market even offers takeout and delivery services, which is a bonus for those busy evenings when a delicious, home-cooked meal is just a click away!

However, do note that while service is generally friendly, patrons have experienced some variability in English proficiency among staff, which sometimes complicates transactions. Still, the warm atmosphere and the variety of offerings make up for occasional communication hiccups.

In addition to groceries and meals, the market provides Asian kitchen tools, decorations for seasonal occasions like the Lunar New Year, and an enjoyable shopping experience with accessible aisles. Customers have mentioned the presence of tropical fruits and basics in the produce section, though it tends to be on the smaller side.

In summary, Saigon Asian Food Market is more than just a grocery store; it's a culinary adventure waiting to be explored. Whether you’re stocking up on Vietnamese essentials or treating yourself to a freshly made meal, this market should be on your radar. Don't overlook the chance to indulge in a banh mi baguette to elevate any sandwich at home!
